How to Construct a Home
Home construction refers to a gradual process of putting up shelters and homes whether temporary or permanent. Due to the influence of different levels of wealth and power, homes come in different shapes and sizes and also different kind of luxuries. The environment has a big part to play in the construction of a home and so it has to be taken into consideration , that is precisely the reason why some homes are better suited for some environment than others , culture too influences the styling of a house to give it identity and uniqueness of the people living there.
Technology and other factors have had a key part in making of what we have today as the modern homes , if you chose to go back in history one will discover that a lot has gone into making homes what they are compared to what they used to be back in the day. Home construction takes on of two methods in most cases, one architects will have the say in the type of material that will be used in the construction of the home while the other method involves the use of reclaimed material and with this method changes can be effected at any stage of the construction.
It’s no secret that materials that are used in construction are scarce and diminishing by the day , this makes use of reclaimed materials more and more viable. When we talk of home construction , we cannot leave out the home make overs because this is also home construction , in fact , some home make overs are very deep and sometimes may undo everything in the house and call for use of very large amounts of man power . The world is changing at a very fast pace and with it almost every industry and one being the home construction, modern homes are being fitted with systems such as renewable energy and water recycling systems and this makes home construction a bit complex .
All that said, it’s safe to say that modern home construction is not a one man show , the detailed nature of the project calls for different skills hence different experts will cooperate on one project. Home construction will mainly build multi and single family residential homes usually for sale at a profit if the project has been undertaken by developers and investors.
Before home construction begins an architect will draw building plans depending on the specifications of the developer. After the designs have been done, the next step involves the submission of the same plans to local construction authorities to ensure that they have legal approval. After approval has been given by the construction authorities, the architects are free to begin with the construction work.
The ground work features a lot of excavation and grading of the ground, at this stage ,any pipe work and basement will be done if the house is going to have basements . With completion of the ground work , next comes the framing of the house which either uses wood or steel. From exterior works , interior works begin with doors , windows and walls being fitted ,wiring , plumbing and heating works follow after that and painting is the final touch before inspections are conducted.
